Privacy policy
Last updated August 13, 2026 (crew network location wording corrected: New York and Pennsylvania applicants are supported, and a New Jersey county is required only of New Jersey applicants). Previously updated August 12, 2026 (form providers corrected per form; crew network retention clarified; job-alert email disclosed as not operating). This policy explains what information newjerseyfilmlocations.com collects and how it is handled.
Who operates this website
New Jersey Film Locations is operated by BLL Films, a New Jersey-based production company. For any privacy request, contact hello@newjerseyfilmlocations.com.
What we collect and why
When you submit a form on this site we collect what you provide: typically your name, email address, company or production information, shoot details, questions, and, for property owners, property type and municipality. The property form deliberately asks for very little. If we follow up about a property, anything further you choose to send us, such as size, parking, access, restrictions or photographs, is held on the same terms as the original submission. Most of it is collected for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, evaluate a property or production request. The crew network application is the exception. That information is also retained so BLL Films Corp can consider you for future productions, which is the point of applying. See the crew network section below. We do not sell any of this information, and we do not use it for advertising lists.
Who receives submissions
This site uses two different form providers, and which one handles your submission depends on the form you used.
| Form | Processed by |
|---|---|
| Crew network application, at /join-new-jersey-film-crew-network | Netlify Forms |
| Owner-operator production request, at /new-jersey-owner-operator-film-crews | Netlify Forms |
| Job, casting and student opportunity submissions, and the launch list | Netlify Forms |
| Production support enquiry, at /production-support | Formspree |
| Property listing enquiry, at /list-your-property | Formspree |
Every submission is delivered to BLL Films, which operates this site. Submissions are shared with BLL Films by design, that is who answers them. We do not share your submission with any production or third party without contacting you first.
Private property details
We do not publish exact street addresses of private properties. If you indicate that your property may be shown in a future public directory, only town-level location and general characteristics would appear, and we contact you before anything about your property is shared with a specific production.
Retention and deletion
We keep enquiry submissions for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and maintain a record of property interest, and no longer than three years of inactivity. Crew network records are held differently, and deliberately so: they are retained while you remain someone BLL Films Corp may consider for production work, reviewed periodically, and removed on request or after three years without contact or re-confirmation, whichever comes first. To request a copy or deletion of your submission at any time, email hello@newjerseyfilmlocations.com and we will confirm within 30 days.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful and how visitors find them, for example, which town guides get read and which search queries bring people here. GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses, and we do not use analytics data for advertising or connect it to form submissions’ contents. Analytics involves cookies set by Google; you can block them with standard browser tools or Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and the site works fully without them. We also record an anonymous event when a form is successfully submitted (which form, from which page) so we know which pages actually help people, this event contains none of what you typed. Google’s handling of analytics data is described in Google’s privacy policy.
BLL Films crew network
If you apply to join the BLL Films New Jersey crew network at /join-new-jersey-film-crew-network, this section applies to you. It is in addition to everything above.
What the crew application collects
Your name, professional email, phone number, and business name if you give one.
Location. Your home-base city or town, and your home-base state or region. The network accepts New Jersey-based professionals and qualified regional professionals from New York and Pennsylvania who are available to work in New Jersey, so a New Jersey county is asked for, and required, only if you tell us you are based in New Jersey. If you select “Other”, you are asked to name your region instead. You also tell us which New Jersey regions you can serve, and you may optionally add further service areas and how far you are willing to travel.
Professional detail. Your department, positions and experience, a professional summary, at least one professional URL, and any optional detail you choose to add, which may include union status, certifications, languages, references, production types, resume and portfolio URLs, owner-operator status, equipment categories and summary, a private gear-list URL, vehicle information and rate notes.
Union status and certifications are recorded exactly as you report them. They are labelled self-reported and are not verified at the point of submission.
What you should not send
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, W-9s, banking details, driver’s licence or passport information, your date of birth, your home street address, demographic or medical information, or images of identity documents, union cards or certificates. The form does not ask for any of these, there is no file upload, and if you send them anyway we will delete them.
The crew network is for adults. You must be at least 18 to apply.
Who holds it, and why
The roster is maintained privately by BLL Films Corp. It exists so that BLL Films can consider you for its own productions and for productions it staffs on behalf of clients.
The roster is not public
It is not published, not searchable, not sold and not licensed. There is no public directory, no public file and no public interface to it. Clients cannot browse it.
When information is shared
When BLL Films is evaluating you for a specific opportunity, relevant professional information may be shared selectively with that prospective production client. Your direct contact details are not automatically published or distributed. They are shared with a client when BLL Films judges it appropriate and you have agreed for that project.
Service providers
Crew network applications are collected through Netlify Forms and are read in Netlify’s authenticated dashboard by BLL Films Corp. That is the whole of it today. No other service currently receives crew network data.
We have prepared, but have not connected, an onward pipeline to a private spreadsheet or database. If that is ever switched on, this policy will be updated to name the provider before it starts processing anything. We are not going to describe a service as handling your data before it does. Your information is not sold.
Correction and deletion
Email hello@newjerseyfilmlocations.com to see, correct or delete what we hold. You can ask to be removed from the roster at any time, and removal is complete: there is no separate mailing list to leave, because no job-alert email programme currently exists. If one is ever offered, unsubscribing from it and being removed from the roster will be two separate actions, and you will be able to do either without the other.
New Jersey film job and crew-opportunity alerts
There is no job-alert email programme at this time, and the application does not offer one. We removed the option rather than collect consent for something that does not yet exist.
- Joining the private crew network does not subscribe you to any recurring email. It is not a newsletter and it is not a mailing list.
- BLL Films Corp may contact you individually about a specific production that appears to suit your role, location, experience or equipment. That is direct correspondence about a job, not marketing, and it is part of what you consent to when you apply.
- If a general opportunity mailing list is offered in future it will be a separate, optional, unchecked choice with its own confirmation step, and this policy will be updated before it launches.
- Consenting to be contacted about work is not, and never was, permission to send you marketing text messages.
Production requests
If you submit a request at /new-jersey-owner-operator-film-crews, BLL Films Corp uses your contact and project details to respond and to source appropriate crew and equipment. Production requests are not published, and submitting one does not give you access to the private roster.
External services
Some interim images and the base map are currently loaded from Wikimedia Commons servers; loading them shares your IP address with Wikimedia, as with any image host. Forms are processed by one of two providers depending on the form, as set out in the table above: the crew network application, the owner-operator production request and the opportunity submissions go to Netlify; the production support enquiry and the property listing enquiry go to Formspree.
