NOTE 009 Aug 16, 2026 · On location The Whisper Man is streaming. Here is what is actually confirmed about its New Jersey locations. Plainfield is confirmed by the city’s own film office. Westfield and Scotch Plains are reported by two outlets. North Plainfield and Montclair rest on weaker evidence, and we say so. Municipality level only. NOTE 008 Aug 16, 2026 · Studios Lionsgate Studios Newark secured $101 million. It still is not open. NJEDA closed the largest C-PACE loan in state history on August 13. What it actually funds, why it is not the construction budget, and the four-stage gap between financing and a bookable stage. NOTE 007 Aug 16, 2026 · On location Trust the Man filmed in Montclair and Seaside Park. Here is what is confirmed. Daniel Radcliffe and Jonathan Groff shot overnight on the Ocean County shore, where the Jersey Shore was standing in for Hawaii. Why that substitution works, and what we will not claim about the rest of the film. NOTE 006 Aug 8, 2026 · On location Grown Ups 3 is filming in New Jersey. Here is what is actually confirmed. Woodbridge, Madison Borough and Morris Township are on the record. The Madison Hotel is not in Madison. Municipality-level only, with no set addresses and no future schedule. NOTE 005 Aug 8, 2026 · Industry data New Jersey added 1,993 film jobs in a year. The number is real, and narrower than it looks. Covered payroll rose 34.3% in the BLS-derived data. What that counts, what it leaves out, and the quarterly spending figure we would not publish because we could not open the source. NOTE 004 Jul 31, 2026 · Incentives New Jersey’s three Studio Partner slots are gone. That changes the math for everyone else. All three Studio Partner designations are held by Netflix, Lionsgate and Paramount. Film-lease facility applications are paused and digital media is oversubscribed. What that leaves for everyone else. NOTE 003 Updated Jul 31, 2026 · Studios The studio boom is real. The stages mostly aren’t open yet. Almost 70 stages are operating statewide, but the headline campuses, Netflix Fort Monmouth, Lionsgate Newark, 1888 Studios, are construction sites. What that means for your schedule and your incentive math. Read the note →
